Abstract

Willy Brandt bids farewell to Willi Stoph and GDR Foreign Minister Otto Winzer. This handshake at the train station in Kassel marked the conclusion of the second meeting between Brandt and Stoph. This intensified contact eventually led to greater cooperation between the two German states.
