Abstract

This postcard is labeled “From the Jew-free Hotel Kölner Hof, Frankfurt a. M., opposite the right-hand exit from the main railway station.” It is postmarked July 29, 1901. Antisemitic postcards were a rarity before 1890, but they proliferated rapidly in the last decade of the nineteenth century.
