Abstract

This commemorative placard shows Kaiser Wilhelm I, Habsburg Emperor Franz Joseph, and Russian Tsar Alexander II with their leading statesmen: Bismarck, Count Gyula Andrássy, and Prince Alexander Gorchakov. The banners at top and bottom read “May peace be with you!” [“Friede sei unter Euch!”] and “Strength through unity” [“Einigkeit macht stark”].
