Meeting of the Prussian constituent National Assembly in the Choral Academy [Singakademie]. Like a number of other state parliaments convening during the revolution, it was a less revolutionary counterpart to the Frankfurt National Assembly. Nevertheless, it advanced liberalization and democratic reforms until the collapse of the revolution in 1849. Wood engraving, July 1848.
