Abstract

The Bauhaus Books were published by Walter Gropius and László Moholy-Nagy, who oversaw their design, between 1925 and 1930. They aimed to explain the school’s mission and to showcase its work. In addition, they featured a wide range of international authors, who were given a platform to discuss the various avant-garde movements of the time. This image shows the cover of  Bauhaus Book No. 8, which was designed by Moholy-Nagy and focused on painting, photography and film at the Bauhaus.
