Abstract

Quedlinburg is one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Germany. The quaint town with its ornate half-timbered houses has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994. This short clip produced by Deutsche Welle explores the streets of Quedlinburg during the Christmas season, showcases the famous Christmas market, and introduces the viewer to a special kind of advent calendar only practiced in Quedlinburg.
