After the ban on the NSDAP was lifted, the party reestablished itself in 1925. Its new tactic was to bring about the political revolution it sought through legal means such as elections. In its depiction of the “German farmer” whose political demands consist of no more than “work, freedom, and bread,” this 1928 election poster differs little from those of other nationalist parties such as the DNVP, for example. Since the economic and political situation in Germany stabilized during the second half of the 1920s, the NSDAP was unable to win a significant amount of votes in 1928.
