Abstract

This painted wool banner marked the tenth anniversary of the Anti-Socialist Law for faithful socialists in Berlin. It calls for “revenge” against those who had prosecuted and otherwise intimidated members of the party and declares: “Long Live Social Democracy.” It was confiscated by police during a demonstration celebrating a decade of socialist resistance to the state.
