Abstract

On January 27, 1932, Adolf Hitler spoke about his economic theories before industrial leaders of the Rhine-Ruhr region at the Düsseldorf Industrieclub [“Industry Club”]. The photo shows Hitler, Hermann Göring and Fritz Thyssen. 700 industrialists had been invited to the event. Protected by local police, National Socialists greeted Hitler with “Heil” chants while Communists protested his visit. The protests remained peaceful.
